How to apply for a Vietnamese visa in Cambodian

There are three popular ways for Cambodian nationals who intend to stay in Vietnam for more than 30 days, as well as expatriates or foreign travelers in Cambodia to obtain a Vietnam visa. These options include applying for a visa directly at the Embassy of Vietnam in the nation, obtaining a visa on arrival, or applying for an e-visa.

Visa at the Vietnam Embassy in Cambodia

To apply for a Vietnam visa at the Embassy in Cambodia, you will need to submit a completed application form, passport photos, and the visa fee, directly to the embassy. Then you can collect your visa in person or have it mailed to you.

Apply for e-visa online

As a Cambodian citizen, you can obtain a Vietnam e-visa by visiting the official website of the Vietnam Immigration Department at https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/. The application process entails providing a scanned copy of your passport, a passport-sized photo, and payment of the visa fee (25 USD ~ 101560 KHR) online.

Upon completing the application and payment process, the e-visa will be issued and sent to your email address within three working days.

Apply for a visa on arrival

If you intend to arrive in Vietnam by air at one of the authorized international airports, you can obtain a Vietnam visa on arrival. You will need to apply for a visa approval letter through a Vietnamese travel agency or visa processing company. Upon receiving the approval letter via email, you must present it upon arrival at the airport in Vietnam, fill out an entry and exit form, provide two passport-sized photos, and pay the visa stamping fee at the airport.
