My travel partner and I fly from Melbourne and land into Ho Chi Minh to catch a domestic flight to Hanoi to then catch another flight to Paris. Are we required a visa to get to our transit flight from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi?

A Lina Tran Answered on June 06, 2023

@Thomas Loughnan, Domestic flights are operated at separate terminals in both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Therefore, you may require a visa to pass through the visa control area in those airports. However, it is advised that you contact the airline for instructions in this case, as some flights will transfer you directly from the international flight terminal to Hanoi without requiring you to exit the transit area.

A Lina Tran Answered on June 04, 2023

@Margaret Yeung, Canadians and holders of Hong Kong passports are required to have a valid visa to visit Vietnam by cruise. The e-visa fee is 25 USD per person or 100 USD for a group of 4 persons. For UK citizens, they are exempt from visas for up to 15 days. Therefore, they can enter Phu My port without the need for a visa.
