Questions and Answers (03)
Hello I have a few questions. I am a Swedish citizen living in South Korea. I want to visit Vietnam. And Swedish passport holders are eligible to travel to Vietnam without a visa but since I live in Korea and will travel from Korea either by plane or by ferry. Can I apply for a tourist visa at a Vietnamese embassy in South Korea and travel by ferry? I want to experience traveling by ferry. Is it possible? Is the visa accepted when traveling by ferry? And where can I get Vietnamese currency?
@Lee Ha, do you mean cruise or ferry as there is no ferry route between South Korea and Vietnam, please clarify!
It is Nur from Turkey. I am currently living in South Korea and planning to travel to Vietnam in December. As far as I know, Turkish citizens are not eligible for Vietnamese e-visa and since I am not in Turkey right now, I cannot apply for visa in Turkey personally. I was planning to get a visa on arrival but I am not sure if it is possible if I am not travelling with a group. How should I get a Vietnamese Tourist Visa as a Turkish citizen who is travelling individually?
@Hatice Nur, you have two options to obtain a visa for Vietnam:
- Visit the embassy of Vietnam in Seoul to apply for a visa in person.
- Apply online for an approval letter for visa on arrival. This method will require you to travel on an organized tour with a local operator.
