Vietnam Visa Cost 2024

Vietnam Visa Cost 2024

How much does a visa on arrival cost? You can use our calculator tool below to estimate the visa on arrival fee for Vietnam.

To get a visa on arrival you will need to pay for two fees: (1) visa letter service fee - payable at time of application and (2) stamping fee- payable when arriving at Vietnam's airport. The actual cost will depend on the type of visa you’re applying for.

  • The visa letter service fee varies depending on the type of visa you want to obtain and how fast you want to get the service delivered.
  • The stamping fee is fixed: As of now, it is $25 USD for single entry visa and $50 USD for multiple entry visa. Payment must be made in cash in USD or VND (Credit cards might not be accepted and there is no ATM machines within the custom area) and may change with advanced notice.

@Karola Jamieson, if you don’t exit the airport or go through customs during your second entry in Vietnam, a single-entry evisa for $25 per person will suffice. However, if you need to exit the airport to check in for your next flight, you’ll need a multiple-entry visa, which costs $50.

@Aparna, Visa on arrival is now available for emergency entries only. Therefore, you can apply for an e-Visa instead with your NZ passport. The e-Visa for a single entry of 1 month is, as you mentioned, 43 USD (including our application fee). However, if you apply directly on the official website, the fee is just 25 USD.

Hi! I am a Canadian passport holder and will be traveling to Vietnam on January 6th (in 8 days) for a duration of 3 months. Which visa do you advise me to apply for? My final destination is Phu Quoc island and I read somewhere that some airports do no accept e-visas? However, I will first land in Ho Chi Minh where I will connect to another flight to Phu Quoc, so maybe I can sort out the visa there? Any information will be helpful, thank you in advance!

@Deb, River crossing borders are not included in the eligible entry/exit points for an e-visa. However, since you have already received a visa stamp on your passport in Hanoi, it may be possible for you to re-enter Vietnam through a river cruise. We recommend that you contact your cruise operator directly for assistance, as they likely have experience with this matter.
