My daughter has recently renew her Malaysian passport, but the Vietnam visa is stamped on her old passport, the visa is valid till 15th April 2024. The flight ticket is dated from 29th January 2024, till 29th February 2024. Is it okay to show both new and old passport with visa stamped or do I have to apply for new visa?

Hello, Malaysian passports are exempt from visa requirements for 30 days. You can use your new passport for visa-free entry or apply for a new 3-month visa on your new passport if you plan to stay longer than 30 days.

HI, I am a Malaysian. We have booked a flight to Korea via Vietnam airline and transit at Ho Chi Min City. We will be using the same airline for the return flight back to Malaysia from Korea and transit in Ho Chi Min City. Since the transit takes more than 12 hours, we decided to leave the airport and overnight at Ho Chi Min city until the next flight in the morning. In this scenario, do i need a visa to leave the airport and to enter Ho Chi Min city? Kindly confirm. Thanks.
