How to apply for a Vietnam visa in Prague

Foreign nationals in Prague can obtain a visa through one of the following three methods:

E-Visa (Recommended)

Apply online at: https://evisa.gov.vn

  • Valid for tourism, business, short visits
  • Single or multiple entry (up to 90 days)
  • Entry by air, land, or sea
  • Processing time: 3–5 working days
  • Official fee: USD 25–50 (~ CZK 532-1,063)

Suitable for most travelers including Czech passport holders.

Visa at the Embassy in Prague

Required for:

  • Work visa (LD/DN)
  • Student visa (DH)
  • Investor, long-term, or official visa

Steps:

  1. Contact consular section via www.vietnamembassy-czech.org
  2. Prepare passport, photos, visa form, invitation letter (if required)
  3. Submit in person at the embassy
  4. Pay visa fee (varies by type)

Processing time: 3–7 business days

Visa on Arrival (Air travelers only)

  • Requires pre-approval letter from a visa agency
  • Get visa stamped at Vietnamese airport
  • Not valid for land or sea entry
