How to obtain a Vietnam visa in Singapore
Depending on your travel purpose and circumstances, there are three official methods to apply for a visa for Vietnam while residing in or traveling through Singapore.
- Visa at the Embassy/Consulate
- You can apply in person for a traditional/sticker visa at the Vietnamese Embassy or one of its Consulates in Singapore. This visa allows entry by land, sea, or air.
- Visa on Arrival (for air travelers)
- If you are flying to Vietnam and do not have time to visit an embassy, you can arrange for a visa on arrival with pre-approval from the Vietnamese immigration authorities.
Note: This option is valid only for air entry.
- Online through the E-Visa system
- Vietnam’s eVisa allows Singaporean travelers to apply online for a single- or multiple-entry visa, valid for land, sea, or air travel. The fee is 25 USD (~33 SGD) for single entry and 50 USD (~66 SGD) for multiple entry. Applications can be made via the official Immigration Department website (evisa.gov.vn) or through authorized travel agencies.

Hi, I'm an Indonesian living in Singapore. Kindly help me to clarify if I need a visa for my trip as follow: SG > HCMC > Phu Quoc > HCMC > SG. From my understanding, as a part of ASEAN country and with travel time <14 days, I should not need any visa for my trip. Is this correct? Thanks in advance
@Alda, yes, you're right - you do not need a visa for the travel above, as long as it's within 14 days.
I am Indian national living in Singapore on employment pass and planned to visit Phu Quoc island with direct scoot flight from SG . Do I require to fill online arrival card ?
@Santosh Nivgane, if you just visit Phu Quoc Island for less than 30 days and have no plan to fly to other cities like Ho Chi Minh City, no visa or pre-entry form is required.
