6 months valid passport on departure, what about the return?

Hello I am planning a trip to Vietnam and thinking of applying for the visa on arrival option. My passport will be valid for 6 months and 1 week from my actual day of arrival (in January). However as I will be returning back from Vietnam to London, my passport will only be valid for 5 months and 2 weeks. Will this be OK? I have ready everywhere that you need 6 months validity on departure but there is no information about the requirement for the journey back... Thanks a lot for your help

 Hello,

I believe there is no problem at Vietnam airport since 1 month of validity afer your exit date is enough. However, most of the airlines will require  6 months of validity remaining on passport before they allow you to board the plane. I advise that you contact the airline that you fly with to verify about this information.
