Hello I'm travelling in a cruise to Vietnam, I got my multi-entry e-visa, but the seaport of exit is different from the one the cruise line just informed. Should I apply for a new e-visa? or having a multy-entry visa allows me to use any seaport?

@Angel, yes, there is no problem with that. However, Chilean passports do not require a visa for Vietnam for stays up to 90 days. Do you plan to stay longer than that?

From our guests' experience, there are no issues with the genders listed on the e-visa. However, you will need to check with the airline to confirm whether they will allow you to board with the current e-visa if the gender is incorrect.

I am on a cruise with 2 stops in Vietnam. The first stop is Chan May (for Da Nang/Hue) and the final stop is Phu My (for Ho Chi Minh City), with a sea day in between. I assume I only need a single entry visa is that correct? When I complete the electronic visa, there is no option for Phu My - what seaport do I select? Also the cruise company is telling us we can't get an eVisa but I cannot see any other options. I have a passport from the Netherlands and my travelling companion holds a passport from Australia. We are leaving for the cruise in 20 days. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you

I received an eVisa and there is no entry point written on the eVisa. The answer below from June 2023 says that I can only enter through the airport selected on my visa application, but the answer below from September 2023 says that I can enter through any port available for the eVisa. (I arrive in Tan Son Nhat International Airport) and leave from Hanoi (Noi Bai International Airport). Which is the case? Has there been any modification of the rules? Will I have issues if the port is not written on the eVisa?

A Lina Tran Answered on April 23, 2023

@Yasmin Karakus, please see our answers as follows:

  1. If you are flying to Ho Chi Minh City and then exit the international terminal for your flight to Hanoi, please select Ho Chi Minh City as your port of arrival.
  2. However, if you are staying within the transit area and not passing through immigration at HCMC airport before boarding your next flight to Hanoi, please choose Hanoi as your port of entry.

As you have to board a different plane to Hanoi, we think you should choose the HCMC as checkpoint since you will need to do the immigration cleance at SGN airport.
