Hello, I am a Chinese citizen and Canadian resident living in Canada. I plan to visit Vietnam for holiday and will fly to Hanoi from Singapore. I heard that Chinese passport holders are NOT eligible to apply for visa on arrival, which means that I need to get the regular visa from the Vietnamese Embassy before I travel. yes, this visa may not work for Chinese citizens flying from China mainland since somtimes the officers at China airport will not accept the letter of approval, but visa on your passport already.
however, given your case, you are flying from Singapore, we can confirm that this visa is ELIGIBLE for your entry.
