Con Dao to be listed among 20 best secret islands on earth
America’s prestigious tourism magazine “Travel and Leisure” has made announcement that Côn Đảo (Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu) is listed among the top 20 Best Secret Islands on Earth.
With the total area of 76 km2, consisting of 16 smaller islands, beautiful beaches and remains from the world’s famous jailhouse, Côn Đảo is a promising land for developing tourism. The Vietnam’s Ministry of Construction has brought out plan to make Côn đảo one of the best zones for economy and tourism among the continents, as well as in the world.
According to plan, Côn Đảo will have welcomed more than 250,000-300,000 tourists/year by the late 2030, 15% to 20% of which are international visitors.
