Like most other visas you can do it in person in Wellington or via post. It doesn’t take very long, about 4-5 working days and cost 40-60 USD.

Thanks for the information. I see that the visa on arrival is only available at 3 international airports. I am a NZer and want to travel by bus from Nanning in China to Hanoi. I live in Guilin, Guangxi Province. What is the best way to get a visa for VN? It is hard for me to get time off on working days to get to a large city. I don’t think I can get a visa in Guilin. Do you have any advice?
