We're going to be visiting Vietnam from China by train. Can we get a vietnamese visa from Beijing? Or should we apply before we set off from the Uk? (Its going to be approx 6 months from leaving the UK before we arrive in Vietnam) Do you have any websites/phone numbers that might be able to help? Anything would be appreciated, cheers
Yes, you can get your Vietnamese Visa in Beijing. It takes about 4-6 days, 350 yuan, and you'll need to fill out inbound travel information on the form. They don't seem very responsive to phones so I'd just go there.

Can't remember exactly but I think they only take visa applications in the morning, Monday to Thursday. There might be an automatic message on one of those numbers.
